Gambling Disorder

AGE GROUP: Adults
LOCATION: In person in Broomall or Telehealth
DAY/TIME: Daytime Program

As gambling has become increasingly legal and accessible over the past several years, we’ve seen a rise in the number of people struggling with gambling disorder issues.

To address this, ETHOS welcomed Harry Levant, MA, ICGC-I to our roster of highly skilled clinicians. Harry is running our new Adult Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) to assist those with gambling disorder.

This is a daytime program held both in-person at our Broomall location and via Telehealth to allow individuals to attend from a distance.

Harry earned a Master’s in Professional Clinical Counseling from La Salle University and has been recognized as an Internationally Certified Gambling Counselor (ICGC-I). He is a member of numerous professional organizations and serves as Director of Education with Stop Predatory Gambling in Washington D.C.

Harry says, “One of every two people struggling with gambling disorder will experience suicidal thoughts. Gambling disorder typically presents with other co-occurring mental health and substance use disorder problems and can cause devastating harm to people and families. The good news is that help is available and, with appropriate treatment, recovery is possible “
