Speaking Up
Our core values provide a compass that guides decision-making and defines our identity. They are the fundamentals that unite employees and leadership behind a shared mission. Core values set the tone for how individuals within our organization interact, collaborate, and navigate challenges. They are not just statements on a wall, they influence every aspect of the business, from hiring practices to client interactions. Our core values are the foundation on which we build a thriving culture.
E: Ethics
ETHOS was established with the fundamental commitment to ethical treatment of our clients, therapists and support staff, as well as ethical business practices. We firmly believe in distinguishing between right and wrong approaches to delivering treatment services. We practice transparency, notably in our dealings with clinicians, who deserve a clear understanding of how our business operates. We set ourselves far apart from the unfortunate prevalence of providers who do not adhere to ethical standards in treatment or business practices.
T: Teamwork
We value teamwork because our organization is more effective when all clinicians and support staff contribute their diverse perspectives, knowledge, and skills. As a team, we can collaborate to solve complex problems, share responsibility for implementing solutions, and take pride in group accomplishments. Teamwork inspires camaraderie, contributing to stronger colleague relationships and greater job satisfaction. Through teamwork, we benefit from and leverage our collective strengths.
H: Humility
We believe in the importance of being humble and providing humble leadership. In the realms of substance use disorder and mental health treatment, humility is central to our approach with clients. We understand the vulnerability and courage it takes for individuals to seek help. Humility allows us to meet them with empathy, respect, and a genuine desire to understand. Humility also fosters a work culture in which everyone, regardless of role, seeks continuous learning and personal growth.
O: Open-mindedness
Being open-minded is a guiding principle in providing inclusive and effective care. We recognize that each individual journey toward recovery is unique, shaped by diverse experiences and perspectives. Embracing open-mindedness allows us to approach every client with genuine curiosity, and a willingness to adapt our strategies to meet their specific needs. Open-mindedness also encourages the exploration of innovative therapeutic approaches and the incorporation of new insights.
S: Speaking Up
Embracing the “speak up” core value creates an environment in which voices are heard, fostering collaboration, innovation, and shared responsibility for the well-being of our team and those entrusted to our care. By fostering a work culture in which individuals feel empowered to speak up, we ensure open communication channels and encourage the sharing of ideas, concerns, and feedback. This value extends to our clients, who we encourage to openly express their needs and preferences.
