Amanda Rougeau, MA, MT-BC

Clinician

Amanda received her dual master’s degrees in clinical mental health counseling and music therapy from Immaculata University. She started with Ethos as an intern in January 2021 and a primary therapist at Therapeutic Alliance in August 2021.

Prior to pursuing counseling, Amanda was trained as a music therapist. She was board certified in 2018 and has worked with a multitude of populations, including a six-month internship in a behavioral health hospital. Amanda continues to use music in her practice with clients and believes that music, as well as other creative arts, facilitates communication, expression, and healing.

Amanda enjoys working with adolescents and young adults coping with mood disorders, trauma, identity (LGBTQ+), and substance use disorders. She bases her counseling in person-centered theory, motivational interviewing, and psychodynamic theory to understand her clients. Amanda includes creative arts, mindfulness, and other evidence-based techniques to help build a treatment plan individualized to each client and their needs.
