Heather Gregan, LPC

Hi, My name is Heather! Love, light, joy, shadow and pain.  I have been on this journey for quite some time, working in the field of mental health and addictions for a little over 20 years.  I have worked in various levels of care as a mental health and addictions professional for both adolescence and adults. I am most recently emerging from full time private practice to participate yet again as an adult Mental Health IOP clinician.

I have had 8 years of intensive graduate studies work in experiential and Emotion-focused therapies.  During the course of my clinical work I have also added Hypnosis, EMDR, and CPT Models of Trauma Healing.  I have a passion for helping clients access their adaptive voice and transforming their core debilitating emotions and beliefs so that they can live a more vibrant life, even in the midst of managing difficult emotions and chemistry.  I live by DBT strategies as a personal strength-based solution to my own life and I am committed to helping others do the same.

Even though I have been exposed to various modalities and coping strategies, I have also lived closely by the clinical skills that I facilitate others to use.  As we are all on our own personal journeys to heal our own emotional wounds, I have had the experience of going through my own challenges and transformations during the course of being a professional in the field.  I am aware of how the strategies offered at times may fall short of providing the relief or resilience that my clients are looking for and during those times I work to uphold my clients while holding space for their pain and frustration.  I take a strengths-based empowering approach to helping my clients access tools, strategies and social emotional support and help facilitate them to create their own network of clinical professionals to keep them working towards their goals.
