Joe is a Masters level clinician who has experience working in residential, partial, and intensive outpatient levels of care. Joe worked at Mirmont Treatment Center for 4 years prior to joining Therapeutic Alliance. Joe has worked with adults, young adults, and adolescents with substance abuse and mental health issues. Joe obtained his Master of Social Work degree from West Chester University. Joe also serves as a school board member on the board of directors for The Concept School in Westtown, PA as well as on a Regional Advisory Board on Interprofessional Education and Integrative care at West Chester University. Joe is in the process of developing an elective course for the undergraduate sociology program with a focus on substance abuse at WCU starting in the fall 2019 semester. Joe utilizes a person-centered, empathetic, and solution-focused approach to working with individuals and their families. Joe believes in a holistic, integrative, and comprehensive approach to treatment. Joe utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and cognitive reframing techniques in working with clients. Joe’s style has been described as non-judgmental, calm, and compassionate by clients.
